1. Stay quiet (I won't say a thing--especially whenever I'm frustrated or upset) and then a couple of hours later---don't laugh---I talk to myself. Now THAT'S calming.

2. Take a bath with lots of suds, candles, and the Jill Scott, Eryka Badu, Faith, or Lauryn Hill CD.

3. Sleep. Sleep. And did I say sleep?

4. Talk to my husband. He and I are like exact opposites in almost EVERYTHING, yet we have ALWAYS clicked. He's my reserved and calm side. He LISTENS whenever I vent about things that are bothering me. I love him for that.

5. Whenever the frustration is not due to them, I play and talk with my children. If they do happen to cause a little chaos (and you KNOW that they do), I just take a break from them for a FEW MINUTES (because that's all that they give you) by going in the bathroom and locking the door.

6. I talk to my supervisor or my regional director. They are wonderful and they offer exceptional support about ANYTHING.

7. Play solitaire or hearts on the computer.

8. Shop. Shop. And did I say shop?

There are other things that I do to deal with the madness in my life, but these are my favorites.

When things bother me I usually:

1. Read a book
2. Watch a movie...going into movieland really takes my mind off of my troubles.
3. Chat with a friend that will let me vent (thanks, Monica!)
4. Listen to loud music while cleaning my house (DMX is good for this!)

Listen to some "JESUS". It calms my nerves!

I have worn my Karen Clark-Sheard CD out. Especially #13..."A Praying Spirit".

-Talk to God about it
-Take a looooooooonnnnnnnnnnnggggggg extra hot bath with lots of suds while burning incense and candles and listening to Erykah, India, Jill or Smooth Grooves
-Read a book ( I love J. California Cooper books)
-GO SHOPPING (window shopping when broke...my mother says I have champagne taste with beer money)
-Cook some Soul Food
-Call a good friend that is always there to listen
-I talk to myself out loud also especially when I am very upset
-Go Out to a Party or hang out with friends to get over it or not think of it for a while
-Cry and go to Sleep
-Give myself a makeover

1. Pray
2. Read a book.. it always helps because their problems are so much worse than mine.
3. Call my mama.
4. Crowd all my friends into my itty-bitty dorm room so they can entertain me out of my slump.
5. Take a walk or go for a drive.
6. Write about it.

sometimes i meditate...other times i just throw something...both work really well depending on the situation...only if you don't throw something expensive...

other times i take a bath...light some incense...turn on some music and i'm cool...but it just depends on the degree of pissed off i'm at...but music usually works...occasionally though there are times when i just let it all out...because it could be dangerous to keep it in...and at times like that...you have to way the ultimate consequences...you...or me...most often times it will be you that gets the brunt of my fury...

Me too!

I also...

- Pray
- Tell yall about it on GC
- Pray some more
- Give my self a pedicure, manicure, and facial
- Pray some more
- CRY, YELL, SCREAM, CRY, CRY, CRY
- Pray some more
- Sleep
- Sometimes I'll call somebody (a friend or soror), but I haven't gotten that down just yet, unless it's one of my LS's. I'm just now learning how to lean on my friends.
