The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
Did anyone see it over the weekend?
I didn't think the plot was great but visually it was pretty awesome. The soundtrack was decent too. It's definitely worth a watch on the big screen just for the visual aspect of it.

I really want to see it - the director is very good, and I'm a big Bill Murray fan.

Soundtrack -- amazing. I absolutely love all of the Bowie songs used.
What did you think of Owen's performance?

You know, I went into the movie expecting such great things...while there were moments, I honestly felt like I wanted my 2 hours of life back after I left the theater. The previews weren't even good.

I really really want to see it...but that may just be because I'm a marine biologist.

I really wanted to see Life Aquatic, because the previews seemed pretty decent, but when I went to see it, it was absolutely TERRIBLE. The visuals were good and the music was interesting, but the timing was SO off., it just wasn't funny. I'm just glad that I saw it at a free sneak preview and I didn't have to pay for it, I would have asked for my money back.

I thought this movie was pretty rad. I think I was the only one in the movie theater laughing though. Some people just don't appreciate good comedy.

Yeah, but there's more negative articles about it too (It got a rotten rating)..........
I try to manage the battle between critic's high standard of comedy and your average movie fans' need for site humor that needs no real intellectual ability to get......so, I'm gonna wait this out for DVD to see for myself....

I've seen The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou twice since it came out. I thought it was great. The plot is pretty typical Wes Anderson, but the colors were amazing.
