Got Dec 4 LSAT Score...

Harsh... Looks like I'm going to have to forget about applying to the schools on top of my list. Anyone else?

Don't be intimidated by the stats and scores, apply and see what happens. My LSAT score was horrible, but luckily I was able to draw more attention to my loser GPA from college. See, sometimes there is a brighter side to standardized test

I got my LSAT score too, it was a 160, I was kind of happy but kind of dissappointed because I feel like I could of done better if I took a prep course instead of going into it blind...my gpa is not too hot because I took all these physics and organic chems thinking I wanted to be a dentist and it affected my gpa but all my other classes were good grades...will law schools take that into consideration?

In a word...yes. I graduated with a degree in Biological Systems Enginering, clearly not basketweaving, with about a 2.75. However, I went to Texas A&M Univ., a top 15 public engineering school. I had a 165 LSAT score and was accepted to Tier 1 law schools and Tier 2 law schools with full ride scholarships.

I am sure your GPA is better than mine, because my bad grades in undergrad were not limited to organic chem, although I did get a D in that . So, don't sweat, I have recruited for my law school and talked to my dean of admissions and they most def take into consideration your major. In fact, you're likely better off than a Poly Sci person with a A's in the classes you have C's in because scientist and engineers are statistically proven to do great in law school. It has to do with already knowing how to think linearly.

Seeing as the LSAT is nothing more than a predictor of first year success in law school (which is why it is not considered in law school transfer applications as the first year is over) your major lends in your 1L success likelihood and is therefore considered as wel.

I should start a thread called as a 2L who knows

God bless in your endeavors!
