Gift Ideas
Here's the lowdown: My boyfriend will have been together exactly 2 months on Christmas day but I will see him the day after until the 1st (he's going home to see some family). He is an avionics engineering (aviation electronics) major at Embry Riddle at Daytona so he is into computers and electronics, aircraft, etc. He also follows sports, mainly the Carolina Panthers and University of South Carolina, where he is from. We've just recently got pictures together so I could get him a picture frame to put a picture in it. I am just looking for some inexpensive ideas that would be thoughtful. We haven't dated long but we are pretty close. For his birthday I made him a plaque with our fraternity crest on it, co-ed service fraternity, and his name, in the fraternity colors. I also gave him a long sleeve University of South Florida shirt, which he wore at least 4 times so far in the past month (and we only see each other on the weekends). Also, I got one of those mini boxes, that you can make paper airplanes. They sell them in bookstores. So... any ideas?
P.S. My roommate says I should wrap myself up with a bow.

Is he a coffee addict (like me?) Maybe get him a nice, huge coffee mug. Or one of those thermal traveling mugs. And a pound of Starbuck's Christmas blend coffee to go with it.
Or, take your roommate's advice

Unfortunately, he really isn't into coffee... however he is into hot chocolate... and we will be celebrating New Years in Denver.

Godiva makes fantastic hot chocolate and, if I recall, they sell it in a gift package with a mug. Maybe you could try that?
Aren't guys tough to shop for? I find it very frustating.

AMEN.
What makes it worse is flowers and/or jewelry are GREAT for lots of girls. Seems like they usually have a fallback!

Yea, I mean it won't be hard for him to shop for me. But it sure is hard to shop for him, at least for Christmas.

For a two month-old relationship...
...maybe some CDs?
...his favorite movie in DVD? (especially if it's a Criterion Collection one)
...a book he's mentioned wanting, or that fits in with his interests?

Or do what I did... I got him his favorite TV show on DVD. And it was great because it didn't blow the bank account. (It may if he's a Sopranos fan though... that stuff ain't cheap.)

ok.. my boyfriend and I have only been together about a month longer..
the picture idea wouldnt be so bad.. I know my boyfriend doesnt have any of me and keeps wanting one.. so I am doing something along those lines.
I got him a DVD box set.. miniseries that I knew he would like, based on looking at what DVDs he already owns
I also took note of clothes he likes and got him a shirt and hooded sweatshirt
plus we are going to go away for new years so that was part of it.. since he is a football fan I would have said if this was earlier to take him to a game even if its an early gift
