How are you at your "warm chattering?" I always feel like I am hitting on the ladies I talk to when I ask them if they would like a complimentary facial!

I know what you mean. I haven't really asked anyone yet, I'm trying to get people that I already know. I live in New York. I'm not even trying to walk up to strangers. LOL

Good point about living in NY. Just think, you might be able to switch all those rich people in NY from using their expensive and less result-proving cosmetics to affordable, quality makeup with results! I'm sure they'd love you for it and just think of what you'd make!

ok, so i don't sell mary-kay... i sell avon. BUT i understand what you're going through! they have this dvd they gave me when i became a beauty consultant on how to approach people and basically tell them they need help! wtf?! haha!

LOL, it's like, "Hi, my name is Jadey. I am an independent beauty consultant for Mary Kay, and I think I can help you out. Would you like a complimentary makeover and facial?" I'm sure I would get slapped using this approach before I get any customers!

imagine if you're a male sales rep and you say that!!! hahaha... yeah, permenant handprints would be across the face.

ok, How about this, my mary Kay girls act like they are a sisterhood, and we get pins after we are "Inducted". But we have to wear them upsidedown. The reason for this is that, when you are out-and-about, and someone tells you, " hey your pin is up-side-down," you say, "OH THANK YOU!!! JUST FOR THAT I WOULD LOVE TO TREAT YOU TO A FREE FACIAL!" HAHAHA

that sure takes the pressure out of walking up to people, don't you think?

Yup, she's serious! However, we say, "Oh, that's to remind me to offer you a complimentary facial and makeover!" We only have to wear our pins upsidedown until we recruit our first team member. After that, we get a really cool outter pin, which the other one fits inside.

Mary Kay is almost like a sorority! I never thought of that until I read the above post!
