tshirt slogans for a winter wonderland theme?

We were going to use a fairytale theme for philanthropy day but we are now having second thoughts that it might be too cutesy, and we were assigned a room that's going to be really difficult to decorate. We are also considering a winter wonderland theme now, but want really cute t-shirt slogans...

any ideas?

Oooo, I like Winter Wonderland. You ought to use a lot of white lights for that one! I don't have any slogan ideas, though. Does our national office have anything in their files?

This is the room we have. It's almost impossible to decorate because the walls are bumpy and it has a really high ceiling. However, if we did a Winter theme we could put white/silver/silverblue balloons on the ceiling and put "icicles" on everything (along the walls, on the windows, etc) and hang snowflakes from the ceiling too! The room even has a fireplace!

(Plus this is for rush that takes place in january)

Maybe we could even wear light-weight scarves (hemmed rectangles of wine or blue cotton fabric?)

Please give me ideas!

Very early in the morning... Very quick brainstorm! Please tweak the following from basic to suit you.
"We're living in a wonderland of love.... Come on it's lovely weather to be a Pi Phi together with you."
Sing the sleigh ride/winter wonderland song in your head. I'm in a Christmas spirit already. Might be too Christmasy for January though.

If you're going to wear wine and silver blue scarves and hang wine and silver blue icicles you could maybe write something like "Walkin' in a Pi Phi wonderland." If anyone in your chapter is really artsy or creative, you could maybe make a papier mache snowman and put a wine and silver blue scarf/Pi Phi shirt or something Pi Phi'ish on it. Good luck!

I like the "Walkin in a Pi Phi Wonderland" slogan.

Your ideas for decorations and scarves and the paper mache snowman are really good too.

You could serve hot chocolate and marshmallows!

Oooo cute idea!!! For the main table, you could make a gingerbread house for the centerpiece! And you can put snow (icing) on it and write your letters all over it!

This may be a little Christmas-y for you but for a Christmas party once, we had shirts with 2 elves kissing on the back. Around them in a circle was the saying- "Who needs mistletoe when you're a SSS?"

Plus, if you do the hot chocolate you could buy snowflake disposible plastic cups right after the holidays, when they're on clearance. My chapter did this theme during Formal Recruitment in the fall and it went over well because the idea of being cold was nice on a hot August day. Also, you can buy bags of that fake snow stuff and put it on tables. Don't really have any new t-shirt theme ideas, but the members in the house always wore scarves. Nametags shaped like snowflakes or snowmen would also be cute, depending on how your chapter does nametags.

I think scarves would be cute but I'm worried about it getting really hot in the rooms! We're in a pretty large sized room, but everyone always talks about it getting hot n sweaty during rush...

I'll mention it at chapter tomorrow night

What about shawls? Or just pieces of fabric? You could get really nice fabric from JoAnn's or someplace and have a couple of crafty sisters stitch the edges to make them look nice. That way you won't get sweaty in the rooms.

thats what I suggested

Getting yards of fabric, making rectangles and hemming the edges and then adding yarn fringe. I think we'd be better doing that OR t-shirts though.

what do you think?

Yea, that and shirts might be a bit much. I say do scarves and snowflake nametags and just make a pretty wintery-themed banner so it can be the first thing the PNM's see when they come into your room.

On another note, you could do something like "No two exactly alike...but all beautiful (magical, wonderful, etc etc)." referring to snowflakes...

Hi, Miss Pi Phi!

We are having Winter Wonderland for our January recruitment theme also. I was wondering if y'all have any wintry games or events planned?

Thanks!

Tau Love,
Marly
