Rush Infraction?

My chapter just had a rush retreat yesterday so I guess I still have rush infractions in the back of my mind.

I was just curious if you guys think this would constitute a rush infraction. (At this point we are allowed to wear letters and can talk to PNMs but we can only be pro-greek and can't say anything about our sorority or other sororities).

Today I was in class and heard 2 girls from ABC sorority talking to a guy friend and telling him that they really wanted this girl to join ABC and that they wanted to set him up on a date with her so he could tell her why she should join ABC and how its the only sorority to be in, etc.

I mean, it wouldn't actually be THEM talking to the PNMs, but then again it's kinda sketchy.

What do you think? Should I even mention this to our rush chair or am I reading way too much into it?

I don't know if it's an infraction, but that's just shady!

If nothing else, it violates the rule about allowing men to particpate in recruitment activities. Granted, it's not a formal recruitment situation, but it's dirty rushing nonetheless.

Actually it is a formal recruitment situation. Well, in preparation for formal recruitment at least. Unless you meant that the dinner wasnt going to be a formal part of recruitment, in which case you are right.

I would definately talk to your RUSH chair and let her know what ahppened. She will probably know the rules on your campus better than any of us. it can be her decision to take it to Panhellenic as she sees fit.
It sounds very sketchy!!
