This Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for...

-having my mother alive for this Thanksgiving. There were too many times this year that we almost lost her.

-that our sisterhood is still strong, and continuing to grow!

-that I get to see mr. honeychile this weekend! Woo Hoo!

This Thanksgiving I am thankful for.....

-Getting to see my brother before he leaves for Kuwait.

-Getting to meet Leslie. I am so excited because we have talked so much over the phone and on the internet that I can't wait to meet her face to face and give her a hug.

-my grandparents still all being alive and healthy. My grandmother was extremely sick last year and we almost lost her so I am incredibly grateful that she is still alive.

-my job. I know that might sound weird but I love my job. I love being able to have a "steady" income. Plus, because of the job I am able to purchase my own home.

-all of my sisters. You guys are the best and I love you all for the friendship and support you have given me.

* my family -- without them, i wouldn't be the person I am today, and I probably wouldn't be where I am today without them

* my friends -- both old and new, they have seen me through so many hard times... including the most crazy-busy semester ever. They were there when I wanted to give up during all the rough times, and there with me to celebrate some of life's biggest and smallest joys.

* health - for the health of me, my family and friends. I think sometimes we fail to remember how fortunate we are to have our health because out there there are so many people who aren't as fortunate as we are

*graduation -- as much as i loved college, i'm soooooo ready for this ride to be over!!!!

*my job -- like many people, it sounds weird saying I'm thankful for my job, but I really am. I was fortunate to get my internship and to get it in a company that I really enjoyed working for before. it's great to finally be able to *think* while I'm at work... and it's waaaaaaaaaay better than retail!

*my boyfriend - we had our ups and downs throughout the years, and I'm really glad that we are able to be in each other's lives right now. he's like my best friend and has been there for me through so many crazy times especially in the last year. it's great to be able to spend time with him and all my closest friends at the same time!

*my sisters - I dont say this enough, but my sisters are awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every ADPi I've met is warm, sincere, and friendly and it makes me proud to be a part of this awesome sisterhood!

(edited to add stuff )

I'm thankful for:

*My family - who support me no matter what I do (or don't do) in life

*My friends - who have taught me so much about being a better friend to those around me, and those who are not so close

*My sisters - who have taught me that this sisterhood is for a lifetime, and is present no matter if you've met them face to face or talked to them on an internet message board

*My faith - that's made me a stronger person in beliefs and values

I love this thread already!

I am thankful for:

My husband - we got married in April so this is our "official" First holiday season!

My Home - I'm hosting dinner this year and we're combining all of our "families!" It's really exciting to get everyone together.

My Job - After working somewhere I HATED for 6 months, I'm really glad I have a new job now that I am in love with.

My unofficial Alum association diamond Sis - I call her that b/c she's taken me under her wing and encouraged me to take a leadership role. Greater Atlanta is so huge, it's nice to have an automatic encourager!

My family and friends - They're so supportive of us moving to a new town and making a name for ourselves.

and Finally...

My honest personality and my ability to know exactly when to share and when to keep my mouth SHUT! (that has come in handy so many times this year!)

*my job. I know I complain sometimes, but I really do love it, and I am SO thankful that things just fell into place the way they did.

*overall, the point where I am in life right now. Almost everything is perfect.

*I get to meet Brianna in 2 days!! In 48 hours, I will be on my way to the Philly airport to get her

*the sisters who have really shown me what sisterhood is all about. You know, the ones who take time to listen to you and cheer you up and just say hi when they wouldn't even know you if they walked by you on the street (unless you're like me and wear letters constantly... lol).

*my grandmother's health

*at the risk of sounding totally corny... my dating situation right now. I'm really, really happy with how things are.

*I GET TWO DAYS OFF THIS WEEK!!!!!

*my faith - without it, this last year would have been filled with challenges that I could never have made it through alone.

*my husband - I love how that sounds. I'm so thankful for the wonderful man that God placed in my life.

*my family - This includes my parents and siblings for being so supportive this year. This also includes my son, who will make his arrival in february. This is probably the most exciting thing of the year!!

-my sister actually having a place to spend Thanksgiving, instead of all of her plans falling through and having to spend it in a hotel because those rats at BU kick the students out during Thanksgiving!

-getting a chance to catch up on schoolwork

-actually being invited to 7 different Thanksgiving dinners

-being alive, healthy, having great friends, family...

Blessings to everyone on this Thanksgiving!
This year, I'm Thankful for:
-a loving, caring, sexy best friend who also happens to be my husband!
-modern technology so that I can call my parents half way around the world and chat with them (and also so that I can see the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade live on t.v. at 3pm this afternoon)
-good friends to have a yummy dinner with
-my health and sanity
-having less then a year left in Germany.... and all that that implies!
