Oxford

I just got back from taking a road trip to Oxford last night. I met Beta's from 4 or 5 different schools. It's kind of funny how different each chapter is and what kind of guys they are made up of.

The campus is really nice and they have a awesome house. The last time I was there was back in '01 and couldn't remember much of the AO. Took a tour and got to see an initation of another chapter's pledges.

I think I might try to start going there like once a year or something. They had a really nice campus, but the club scene was pretty weak.

Is this at Miami of Ohio?

If so, my chapter had a party with the Betas from St. Louis last night. They were also visiting so they could initiate their new pledge class at Headquarters. They were very nice guys, and I'm glad I got to meet a lot of them!

PS- If you think the club scene sucks, you obviously weren't at the right places.

I actually ran into one of your sisters by Harrison Hall (I think) yesterday. She thought that we may have been the St.Louis Beta's.

I think that was one cool idea to have a party with you girls. We've been trying to plan one with a sorority from another campus, but Fall is way to busy so maybe in the spring.

My bros and I had our own bar crawl there friday night. Went to about 4 or 5 bars and a few house parties. I liked some of the cover bands, but everything closed down too early. One thing I've never seen before that I thought was cool was that I could buy cases of beer in the bars. Never heard of that before.

Which bar sold cases of beer? I've never heard of that, either. Which bars did you go to?

Stadium and Brick street are the only ones I remember the name of. Brick street was the bar that sold cases of beer. I went to a bar on the corner of the same street as stadium and then a few that was on the main drag that Brick street was on.

Hmm...Brick Street is my favorite (under 21) bar...I had no idea they sold cases. The bar on the corner is called 45 East...I hate it.

I, along with other EA's, need to plan a trip to the AO and Oxford...gotta visit the roots. We're also planning a trip up to William & Mary next weekend to visit their chapter.

I think we'll be making a trip there at the end of January to initiate our pledges. Can't wait to see where it all started.
