Profanity OK in Iowa State classrooms

(I wonder if students are allowed to use profanity too, as in "No, I don't have the f-cking report done."

Iowa State allows use of profanity in classrooms
(U-WIRE) AMES, Iowa - There is no guideline in the Faculty Conduct Policy prohibiting professors from swearing in the classroom at Iowa State University.
Faculty members are allowed to decide for themselves what language is appropriate in different situations and might use curse words to get students' attention.
"There are situations where you might be using some kind of profanity to make a point," Associate Provost Susan Carlson said.

I had classes where we discussed swearing...

How do you discuss swearing without the words?

LOL .. I have had several professors swearing in front of me (and students) before, and I found it funny. But I was under the College of Design, which is very lay back and informal.

I had a number of profs at UGA who swore. I had one in particular who swore at students. He was an evil evil man anyway. And, now he's been promoted...what is this world coming to? My friend called me to let me know that she read about it in a newsletter - that's how serious it is.

Nope, sorry--my panties don't get into a wad when I hear my profs cursing. In fact, I've gotten quite used to it.
