Need Help....Have 2 Weeks...
Rio's Homecoming is on November 12th...2 weeks away. I am my sorority's Homecoming Candidate and I discovered (quite unhappily) that the dress I plan to wear is umm...kinda too tight. I can get it zipped.. but it I'm afraid I may pass out if it's on too long
So..anyone know a quick way to drop 5-7 pounds? I don't care if I gain it back or anything (as long as it's after November 12th)...I just need a quick fix

Honestly, your best bet would be to take the dress back and get a bigger size. Losing that much weight in two weeks can be really dangerous. That being said...cardio/weight combo, sit on a physioball instead of a chair (makes you engage your core muscles to stabilize yourself on the ball).

yeah but you could be miserable during those two weeks. If I had a dime for every cranky carb-phobic on my floor, I'd be a rich woman.
Honestly, be sure you drink a proper amount of water. Take in "good" calories...not empty ones, like cans of coke. Coke has something like 250 calories per can, no? If you're basing on a 2000 calorie per day diet, that's a TON of calories. Lean meat, proper portions, variety of foods. Be sure to include weights in your routine, they help you burn fat as well. You don't have to overdo it, just carrynig little 5 lbs weights while walking will help. Starving yourself won't help, Homecoming Queens have to be able to stay upright to do that neato wave!

No-carbs.
1200-1500 calories a day of fat and protein. 3:1 fat calories to protein calories.
A gallon of water daily.
100-200 mg of 7-keto dhea daily.
2000 mg of vitamin c
B-complex
30-60 minutes of combined weight and cardio 5 days a week. Look up high intensity intervall training on google. That brings weight off faster.
phosphatidylserine 200-300mg daily
If low carbs bother you, take 500mg of glutamine with each meal.
10 pounds is easy to lose in 2 weeks.

5-7 pounds in 2 weeks isn't that hard (or dangerous!) to lose b/c it would mostly be water weight.
Eat right, work out a lot. Not only will you look great, but you'll feel great too!

Experts agree that the best way to reach a healthy weight is to follow a sensible eating plan and engage in regular physical activity. Weight-loss programs should encourage healthy behaviors that help you lose weight and that you can maintain over time. Safe and effective weight-loss programs should include:
*
Healthy eating plans that reduce calories but do not rule out specific foods or food groups
*
Regular physical activity and/or exercise instruction
*
Tips on healthy behavior changes that also consider your cultural needs
*
Slow and steady weight loss of about ¾ to 2 pounds per week and not more than 3 pounds per week (weight loss may be faster at the start of a program)
*
Medical care if you are planning to lose weight by following a special formula diet, such as a very-low-calorie diet
*
A plan to keep the weight off after you have lost it

another tip: cut out as much salt as possible, especially the week of. Read labels. Sometimes you don't realize how much sodium is in something. Salt makes you retain water and feel bloated

Those experts don't have to squeeze into a dress in two weeks.
I'd take James' advice.

Couldn't you just pitch the yo-yo diet idea and get a foundation garment to suck you in instead?

That's what I was going to say...the proper undergarments can make a huge difference.

Don't drink any soda and cut back on the sodium, your lose some water weight easy. I would cut out crappy carbs and leave in whole wheats and veggies. However, you need to eat enough that you don't shock your body and cause it to pack everything on as fat.
Don't eat out/ drink a lot for two weeks and you will notice a big difference
Also, get the girdle. I am a size 6 and I never dress up without one.
