Living at the bottom of the sea in a pineapple in the community of Bikini Bottom, SpongeBob works as a fry cook at the Krusty Krab diner, where his friends include a Squidward the squid and Patrick the starfish.
Release Date: November 19th, 2004 (wide).
MPAA Rating: PG for some mild crude humor.

We're READY at my house!! The Spongebob Movie is all my son talks about!! I've made sure that I am off on the 19th so that we can go! In celebration of the movie and my son's great report card (all A's and one A-) I will make Krabby Patties (I will buy crab cakes and hamburger buns and dress them like regular hamburgers) and invite my two nephews (who are also big SpongeBob fans) to join us!!

Girl, I planned on seeing this movie over the summer, when I first heard it was coming out, w/ my 11-yr-old cousin. I do NOT care if I am like the only person over the age of 7 that doesn't have a kid up in the theater on opeing day ...

My daughter has been talking about this movie from the very first time that she saw the previews. I'm really excited about it myself, I'm such a Nickelodeo fan (even before the kid).
