Cool The Brick

Some have heard of The Brick on previous threads.

But, this has become a Lenged among Brothers of LX Z!

Brother Shawn S. came from Indy for Founders Day 2003 in Feb.

He brought these Bricks for Our First Acution ever that Brother Rambo came up with. While I donated a lot of items including a Badge among manythings, The High Light were The Bricks!

They were Bricks with a little Plaque that just had a little statement on them.

They produced 1/2 of the $3,000. that was gained for The Chapter. This was Our First and hopefully not the last.

I was so dissapointed having bidded on all three and not winning any that Shawn told Me Tom, Damn Bubba, I will get one made up for you. Shawn and I do go back a bit for "Old Fart and Kid"!

Everytime I saw Shawn, I asked about MY BRICK!

Told Him that when I got it, I would donate money to the House Fund in his name.

I have My Brick. Shawn came back for Homecoming 2004 and gave it to me. I could not have ever so been pleased to Have My Brick. It is in a place of honor along with The LXA Alum Pyramid where I can see them both every day when I sit at My Computer.

So My Brothers, no matter how small something can seem, a Brick is what it is all about.

Thumbs down

Tom maybe we could re-inroll you at Pitt State to take some classes in writing, literature and english composition. What you are writing makes little sense, just blurting out part of a good experience with a fundraiser/LCA brother doesnt make for great posts.

Quality, not Quantity of Posts......

While it may not be a great post, and some may not understand it,
it just goes to show, no matter how small something may seem, it is what it produces.

Three Bricks done by a Brother for an event may not seem big unless you were there to see and feel the excitment. He hit on an idea just as many members do.

I guess to me, it just shows that a House and a Fraternity can be built one brick at a time.

Initiation Bricks

I know of a few chapters where each brother gets a
brick on or just before inititation. Its usually a white
(concrete) brick with the name and zeta#.

During I-week, all the brother's bricks are built into a wall,
and the soon-to-be initiates see their Zeta# for the first
time....a night or two before initiation begins.

How many chapters do that? I know Gtown does, and
I took that to Vandy, tho I don't think they still do it
(someone told me one year they couldn't find white
bricks and stopped doing it, but they were thinking
of reviving it).

I still have my brick!
