Question Baby Books

Which do you recommend?
Leapfrog? Baby Einstein?
Etc.
And where do you suppose I would
find the best deal? Walmart?
Books a Million?
Etc.

If it's for the your nephew that you posted in another thread, I think it might be a little early for the Leapfrog series. Dr. Seuss and other classics still work.

A couple of my nephews favorites are Click, Clack, Moo Cows That Type andBrown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?

Booksamillion is closer for me so that's where I go. I like the additional discount.

Baby Einstein is really cool on DVD. It is really worth the money IMO. My son LOVES to sit and watch them with me.

If you really want to help your nephew, stay away from 99% of all technological gadgets. Stick to good old fashioned books.

For young children to be read to and/or for them to explore on their own:
Goodnight Moon
Where the Wild Things Are
Madeline
Freight Train
The Spider and the Fly
books by Leo Lionni, Eric Carle, David Shannon
ETC.

I agree with Tippie, Baby Einstein DVDs are awesome, as are the CDs. My daughter is currently obsessed with the Baby DaVinci DVD, and will watch it over and over sitting in her Exersaucer.

Leap Frog makes a "Little Touch" Leap Pad for kids 6-36 months. These are NOT toys for kids to play with themselves, but more of something for the child and the parent to sit down with and enjoy together. There are cartridges based on many great children's books (we have "Where the Wild Things Are", "Guess How Much I Love You", and a few others) and come with 50+ assorted activites based on the story. So far, we've really enjoyed it, and since has such a wide age range, I really feel like I'm going to get my money's worth.
