X-prize attempt tomorrow

Scaled Composites website

It takes place at 6 AM Pacific time. I wish I could be in California for this. Everyone at KSC will definitely be rooting for them. I wish them the best of luck.

I do worry a bit about their safety. Their nosecone buckled on their test flight, and while they acted like it was no big deal, it was. I would hate to see something happen to the crew because (besides the obvious reasons) I think it would really be a big morale blow to the space program in general, whether it be sponsored by the gov't or by private industry.

I saw them take off this morning on the news. But I didn't see it actually "get into space."

Good for them.

I wouldn't say failed. "Distracted", maybe.
