What's this guy's deal
I'm not sure what to think of this but when I go to the bar there is this guy that I know and every time that he is drunk he always say that he likes me, etc. However recently he said that we should go out on a date? But I see him at every IFC meeting and he just treat me like a normal friend. He's not the shy guy so what deals. If he likes me then why don't he just come out and say it. We live in the same apartment complex and we are in the same greek circle.
I never really thought about him in that sort of way.
Should I read anything in this or not? He probably just tells all the girls at the bar that he like them when he gets drunk.
What do you think?

He said it. How did you respond? "When?" would be a good response if you want to go on a date with him. How should he act toward you at the IFC meetings? It's sort of like a work situation then, not exactly the time to fawn over someone. Maybe he's picking up that you don't "think about him that way" so he's not going to get too aggressive in pursuing it. Inhibitions are loosened when drunk so he says things then that he doesn't feel comfortable saying later.

So AGDee,
Should I talk to him and ask him about it or just wait until he actually comes out and tell me? We are both graduating in Dec. so we really don't have that much time left at school.

Um, how many times do you want the guy to ask?
He tells you he likes you "every time" he gets drunk... as in more than once. AND at IFC meetings?
Girl, it's YOUR turn to make a move. If I was him I wouldn't ask again.

Is it really common for anyone -- male or female -- to just sit around and tell people that they like them? That seems odd, but hey, if he asked you on a date and you find him at all attractive/interesting/fun you might as well go. You might have fun, but even if you don't it will be a funny story to tell on GC.

I think it's more common than we realize. Especially with not-so-successful guys (who are often the sweet ones, having not been burned so often.) They don't know how to communicate that they like you..... so they just SAY, "You know what? I like you."
Girls don't do that as much though. At least I don't. But, then I really only sleep with other girls' boyfriends so what do I know.
Oh and my professors.
