Soror, I was thrilled to see our lovely sorors included among the 'beautiful people'! Although we know there could be a lot more !

Hey 411,
I posted this question before in this forum.
It's a couple of threads down.
I don't think many people had a chance to read it or just did not respond. Maybe you will get a better response than I did.
I really did not enjoy reading the article. I think it could have been more interesting and written from the point of view of black members of HBGLO on that topic.
But, I was not sure anyway. Since I am not a member of a HBGLO, I wanted to know want you guys thought.

I didn't think the few pages of the article were NEARLY enough to even scratch the surface. In my opinion, there was a huge imbalance between the pros and cons and the yays and nays (more pros and yays, when we know that really isn't the case). But that's just me...

Soror 411,
I agree. It's interesting though to think that finally after 80 and 90 years people are finding worth in the first organizations created for african americans, by african americans. I'm honored that some of them feel a genial spirit of welcoming within our respective orgs. However, the article about the seventy year old Omega was the most interesting, his was one of benign truth. The rest I feel was somewhat prompted.

Ebony Magazine
I have a comment and a question about the (I believe) November copy of Ebony Magazine.
Comment: THREE lovely Delta sorors are featured in the "55 Most Beautiful People" article-- Leontyne Price, Lena Horne, Camille Cosby.
Question: What did you think about the ARTICLE about whites in black frats and sororities? I'm not asking what you think about whites in black orgs (we've been there and done that), but I'm just wondering what people think about how the article was covered.
All thoughts welcomed.
