Pretty dresses

I am a reader in a Nov wedding. The wedding is in late afternoon, it's in a cathedral, and it is in Florida.

Any links to cute dresses? The bridesmaids are in red, and I don't want to do red or pink.

Thanks!

Does it really matter what it looks like? You'll make it look good by just wearing it.

Look at Rampage and Bebe for cute dresses. That's where I get almost all my dresses for formal and such. Here's a few of my favorites:

Number1

I know you said no pink or red but I really love this dress and if you could find something like it in another color I think it would be great for a wedding.

Number2

I love this dress too. It's really easy to dress up or dress down. And it's black but the print makes it ok for a wedding.

Number3

This one is also good. The purple lightens up the black and the cute makes it good for a Florida wedding.

I have all these. I have a problem with shopping

Just wondering cuz I know in this area it's...

1) Bad luck to wear the same color as the bridal party.

2) In bad taste to wear the same color.

Is it the same there? If not I like the first one.

I think its like that everywhere. If she could find a dress like that in blue or something it would be good tho.

That's the thing. I have an adorable pink and cream floral print dress from Ann Taylor, and it is wedding-appropriate, but I feel that as a reader, I don't want to appear too close to the bridesmaid color of dark red. Yes, they have strapless long gowns and mine is almost tea-length, with straps and a print... but I feel like I need to wear a "cool" color since they are in red. I found this dress from J. Crew-- what do you think?

I like the J Crew dress in blue or brown. What shoes?

I may just wear the Ann Taylor dress to her Oct. shower...

Hmmm. In my area none of those would be appropriate for a wedding, except maybe the JCrew one (especially if worn with a cardigan or a sweater, which you could take off at the reception.)

They're all cute though, I especially like the black one with purple ribbon. But too sexy for a church and way too showy for a wedding. (For here.)

I totally agree. The first three would not be considered apporpriate for a wedding, especially in a church around here. It seems like you all are shying away from black. I have worn a black dress to the last 4 weddings I've been to and so do most all my sisters. I know some people think you're not supposed to wear black to a wedding but I never felt out of place. Black might be good for you since they are wearing red. I like the JCrew dress a lot. The blue is pretty but probably won't go with the BM dresses (not that it has to, but since you're taking their color into consideration).
