I enjoyed the National Site, but looking at the leadership, a question popped into my head.
Have you noticed that all officers were intiated on the undergraduate level? Is this an indicator of preference for length of membership, or a coincidence? And I am obviously not including representatives.
I think it's just a coincidence. Being initiated into a Alumnae chapter does not give a true indication of length of membership. I have sands (1994) who are the same age as I (26) who came into Delta through an Alumnae chapter and I as undergrad. Or how about this: what if one pledges her senior year, but it's her 3rd senior year. What is the difference between her length of membership and someone her same age who pledges an Alumnae chapter right after she graduates? The answer: there is none. When we elect officials, we are not necessarily looking at HOW LONG a candidate has been a Soror, rather WHAT SHE'S DONE during her years of membership.
