Lightbulb What is the most MOTIVATIONAL thing an advisor ever did for you?

OK ... as an advisor, I would love to hear some stories of how advisors have made a difference either for you personally or for your chapter.

Our advisor was a communications professor at our school-

She had a lot of good programs for us about interviewing and such. She had one of her students come and deliver a great speech on drunk driving before formal.

Also, my chapter closed the year I joined. My advisor went out of her way to plan a special closing ceremony (a much better one than what we had with Internationals) that was very beautiful and personal.

An advisor for me while I was in college gave me a gift after Formal Recruitment that still makes me smile to this day.

We had just gotten great results and were MUCH more competitive with the chapters we run with on the campus than we had been. She gave me a cute little beanie fox with a note that read, "Congrats on out-"fox"-ing the competition!"

little things, personal things, knowing what is going on and what motivates the women you advise can make all the difference.
