Talking

I love the ALPHAS they look so distinguished.

My best friend is an AKA.

When I got married people thought I was a SIGMA GAMMA RHO because my colors were blue (navy) and gold. The current MISS TSU is an SGRho and I had the pleasure of being one of the judges who selected her. She's an angel.

I like what the ZETA's do with helping babies..the stork's nest I think that's what it's called.....

I have a friend who is a mega FINE SIGMA whew lawd!

I LOVE the KAPPAs colors.

I'm pleased that the IOTAs are now a part of the NPHC. I've recently learned a lot about them.

Ok is that nice enough????

There's just something about that crimson and cream, though

I like the fact that Greeks (besides Deltas) at other schools are nice and friendly, especially at stepshows!

Many THANKS and much respect to the 7 Jewels at Cornell for giving birth to the black greek system! As a child, teenager, and adult, I've only seen Alpha men as upstanding, intelligent, DiSTinguished Gentlemen who continue to strive toward the excellence and empowerment of black men. Had I been a man, I would have chosen Alpha Phi Alpha because its goals, ideals, and overall temperament are much like that of DST, in my opinion. And, although the Sphinx/Pyramid and Ape/Elephant connections are coincidental, there is a relationship between our organizations: http://www.deltasigmatheta.com/alphaluv.htm
Much Delta Luv to the special Alpha Men in my life:, My uncle Charles Smith, cousins Kevin Smith and James Giles, friends Greg Doss, Babila Lima, Gerald Goodman, Mike Watson, Mike Miller, and all the members of Beta, Delta Kappa, and Kappa Beta chapters!

1908
It is impossible for me as a Delta to not respect Alpha Kappa Alpha for being the first black sorority. While many people continue to perpetuate the rivalry between our organizations, let me speak for all my Sorors when I say: "Thank you, Ethel Hedgeman Lyle!" A big, loud "OOP-SKEE" to my God-sent friends Landra Jeffries and Ceara Flake, and to my friends of Alpha Chapter, Spring 1996.

1911 Krimson & Kreme
In addition to the fact that the Kappas wear THE most beautiful kolors I've ever seen, these men are the epitome of klass and kourtesy! The webpage is one of the best I've seen yet! Tight hugs to all my Red & White brothers, but especially to Kevin Ferguson, Kenny Ferguson, and Joey Foote.

1911 Royal Purple and Old Gold
I just LOVE the bruhs! And even though I know there is no official, constitutionally bound relationship between us, I will forever and always consider the Omegas MY brothers, and think of them when I see African Violets! I thank their founders for all their help, and I commend the organizations for continuing to strive towards Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift. Coleman Love to my BEST friend, David Jeffries (your friendship has truly been essential to MY soul), and to Denzil Kelly, Stacy Rogers, Craig Brown, Mike West, Chris McCaskill, PT, and the chapters at Ohio State (Iota Psi), Mississippi State, Howard, U of Southern Mississippi, Bowling Green in Ohio, and Central State. Y'all got me sayin' My My My...My My My, My!

1914 & 1920
Who can't give props to the Royal Blue family of ZetaPhiBetaSigma?!?! I am forever in awe of the closeness of these two organizations. I commend the Sigmas for their committment to African culture and I love the Zetas for their ability to take stepping to a whole 'nother level! I haven't seen a Zeta chapter yet that didn't bring me to my feet at a stepshow! Greek love to the Sigmas and Zetas at Ohio State, especially to Ajamu Frazier, for helping me put my campus' greek parties on the map. A kiss to Ronald Henderson at Northeast Louisiana U. for showing me how a queen
should be treated, and a teary-eyed "I miss you" to Tiana Hill of Zeta's Alpha Chapter.

1922
The ladies of Sigma Gamma Rho are always about the business! When I tried to establish a Black Greek Council at my university, I got more help from the one SGRho on my campus than I did from anyone else. SGRho did not have a chapter there yet (she'd pledged somewhere else), so the administration would not allow her to be an active part of the Council. Still, she bent over backwards to help me get things together. Now, two years after I founded the Black Greek Council, this same young lady has transformed it to a recognized chapter of the NPHC! Thank you Daisy!

1963
I know it's been a turbulent flight, but the Iotas continue to fly high. They are committed to their goals and motto, and take pride in their history and individuality. Of all the fraternity men I've ever met, Iota Phi Theta is the only one in which ALL of their members I've encountered have treated me with the highest level of respect and admiration a woman deserves. Thank you all, and especially to Donnell Carrington and the brothers at Ohio State, Morgan State, and U of Akron.

To the entire NPHC Family:
May we all continue to work together and support each other in both our individual and collective efforts to uplift ourselves and our black communities! God Bless!

Greek love always,

Alysia

The 411, thank you, that was really sweet.

Our shared history is unique, and what touches me the most is the way that we often get into a battle of words, and still laugh because it's all out of love. I have to add, when I was a freshman in college, on my first airplane flight, I sat next to a Delta. She knew I was terrified and held my hand the entire way (even though I knew I must've squeezed her hand to death during that long, long flight --- 8 hrs!).

Some of my best and funniest friends have been Zetas. I also admire the Zeta/Sigma bond.

I love my intelligent Alphas --- do we have to ask why?

One of the smoothest, suavest, and most debonnair men that I know is a Kappa (my husband!).

My Dr. is a Que, and he's the best Dr. in the world!

We had only one Sigma Gamma Rho at one point at our school, and I admired her hard work, perserverence, and determination! It was very apparent!

Nothing. I saw it another forum, and I didn't know whether or not I should respond because it said 'other' greeks. Since I'm not in any organization, didn't know if anybody wanted to hear from me. But since it was started here by our own carebear I was reassured that all responses were welcome. That's all. It was nothing meant to slight you. Sorry if it came across the wrong way.

Everytime I've just needed a friendly face, or a shoulder to cry on (especialy during those rough days online) their were Zetas on my campus who would just be there without asking stuff that was none of their business, and without my tears ending up the quad gossip. I always valued that.
