What exactly is dirty rushing?

I've heard two stories but I want to know what everyone or NPC thinks dirty rushing is.
Thanks!

Any type of rush activity that doesn't conform to the rules that everyone agreed to at the beginning of rush.

imho

Almost all rush rules are made by the powerful chapters to preserve their power.

Almost all rush rules make it hard for the weaker chapters to prosper.

"Almost" could probably be removed from the two sentences above.

oh oh i know this one! it's when another sorority invites the pnm's to their dorm rooms to party and guarantees them a bid if they put xyz down as their first choice.

yeah.....that actually happened my junior year. i was pissed to say the least b/c the pnm's who were invited to party were girls we wanted and my own little actually saw them doing this.

Well, at my school dirty rushing could only really occur during formal rush. (We have a formal and nonformal rush- 2 rushes a year). Dirty rushing would basically be talking to a girl outside of a rush room (during formal rush you can't talk to rushees outside of rush rooms until the whole process is over), it would be telling her before bids are out that she is in, telling her that her Big is already picked out, bribing her in any way to chose your sorority over others, talking bad about other sororities, letting girls know the dirt about certain GLOs, etc.

Basically it's no good! We have very strict rules about dirty rushing. GLOs can get suspended or even have their chapter kicked off campus.

Not necessarily true, especially if the smaller chapters outnumber the large chapters. In that case the smaller chapters make rules to hinder the larger chapters.

It works both ways.

I didnt click the link but there are numerous things that can be considered dirty rushing.

Dirty Rushing just means that a Rush rule has been broken.

Typically Dirty rushing can be

1. A Rho Chi informin PNM's what her affiliation is. ( Which defeats the purpose of a Rho Chi)

2. Telling PNM's to suicide.

3. Telling PNM's reasons why the should only choose ur org

blah blah blah break a rule its dirty rushing. Everything within "taste" is usually ok
