Help!!!!

Hey girls... I just wanted to ask for your help. I am currently a Gamma Chi (formally known as a Rho Chi) Right now our gamma chis are working hard to recruit girls for fall recruitment. What are some ideas to have a large class this year. Let me just add that my school's greek system is very small (less than 4%) of the university. I want a large one and I would like to know what are ways your rush counsoulers recruit.

Thanks so much

When is your recruitment? I guess it depends on how much time you have to do your recruiting for recruitment...

Besides blitzing the campus w/PR (posters, banners, etc.), you could have the organizations chalk the sidewalks w/generic "Go Greek" encouragement, you can get a list of all the incoming freshman girls & put a flier in their mailboxes.

Also, on move-in day, have all the gamma chi's present in the dorms to answer questions, and even help girls move in (we did this back in my day, and I know we got many rushees from it).

Just some ideas. I'm sure there are more ideas out there! Good luck!

Our recruitment is September 8-11.
Thanks for the great ideas. We have done & are planning to do all of those great ideas. I was looking for something "over the top"
Thanks

Lesliedz,
At MTSU, we got a print out of all the incoming freshmen, transfer students, and sophomore women who wern't in sororites and then mailed post cards (black and white with our recruitment theme) to each of them, reminding them to sign up. We also used the Orientation evaluations in a similar manner....we had a section that asked what they were interested in and if the incoming freshman chose Greek Life, they also had to supply us with their contact info...we then had our Rho Sigmas (Rho Chis) contact each girl who was interested and explain how they could sign up, how they would live on campus, what to expect each night, etc. Hope that helps!!!
