Question Question about balls (golf, that is)

Attention all golfers:
Where are the most reasonable places to buy golf balls? I'm looking to buy some Titlist (sp?) Pro v 1 golf balls as a gift and am pretty much clueless!

You could try a Sports Authority or large sports store like that...the prices may end up being better than at a pro shop.

My guess would probably be either in a store that specializes in golf equipment or any mass-market sporting goods store like Oshman's.

No, I'm not a golfer... only way you'll see me on a golf course is chasing the cart with the beer in it! One should never, ever, play golf sober!

The Titleist ProV1 is a top-tier (read: expensive) ball - you won't really get a "deal" anywhere, b/c the market is set by the manufacturer.

Don't go to a golf course - I'd try online retailers, or see if you have some place like a GolfPros or Nevada Bob's around.

Expect to pay 40+ dollars/dozen (I think they go for 46 here?)

My golf-crazed husband loooooooves Pro-V 1's. He's found the best deals on ebay by buying in bulk. I think the last time there was a lot of 10 boxes, which he split with one of his golf buddies. They were still over $30 a box, though.

Good luck!

Those are nice balls.....I usually pay 54$ per box. I get pissed when I hit one in the water or when I can't find one....sometimes it's really expensive if I've had a few drinks before playing 18 holes. Just look for a goldworld/mania type of place in the phone book. Or you could call 411 and find out...that how I found the place I get my stuff at.
