Hmm...
A government contractor has questionable accounting practices... I don't see the news story there

I don't understand how you went to the school you went to and say certain things still. Also can you at least put the title of the article as the topic or something?

Hard time disagreeing with that.

Except this time.

Just as a matter of quick recall, Halliburton has:

Been accussed of price gouging on gasoline sold to the armed forces.

Been accussed of charging for more meals than were actually served.

Been accussed of running empty trucks back and forth between Iraqi destinations -- calling them backups.

Gotten many of the contracts without competitive bids.

Maybe the timing here is politically motivated (but, if so, why is it the DOD raising the question?), but if any or all of the items in question are true, shouldn't it be investigated?

Even in government, "A billion here and a billion there, and pretty soon we're talking about some real money!"

Oh I agree. They should be held accountable for what they do. It's shady as hell sometimes -- or there are those that would want us to think it was.

What we'll never know is the facts on both sides of this.

Dick Cheney should be charged with murder. Um...I forget the rest of the joke, but the punch line is "only in Canada." This is the worst post sorry. Sorry GC.

Please explain your reason.

I am curious as to what it could be.
