i had my phone interview today and it went really well. The company emailed me later today with a project plan they want me to complete and we set up a time for a second interview on wednesday
I'm excited for the second interview - but nervous for the project plan! I have no idea how to create a project plan! Does anyone out there in GC land have any tips or advice on what is an absolute necessity to include in my plan?
Here's the situation i will be planning:
You are in charge of coordinating interviews for 130 applicants who have applied to work in part-time positions. There is a 4-week window during which the interviews must take place, and there are 5 interviewers. All interviews are conducted by phone, and all candidates must receive a video, as well as soft-copy written documents 48 hours prior to the interview. Interviews last 90 minutes. You are the point person for the candidates, as well as the interviewers. Candidate materials must be shipped to the interviewers before each interview is conducted.
In addition, you are responsible for notification to all candidates regarding whether they will receive an interview, and you are responsible for final notification to all candidates regarding their status at the end of the process.
In most cases, this is the candidate’s first contact with the organization management team. One of our goals is to ensure timely communication, as well as an overall smooth interview process for our candidates. A second main goal is to ensure that we set realistic deadlines, that we communicate these deadlines to candidates, and that we meet these deadlines.
Create a plan that outlines how you will coordinate and ensure a successful interview process. Please use the information outlined above to create your plan. You should feel free to “make up” information in order to complete your plan.
Here are the things I came up with that should be included in the plan:
- timeline of events, notifications, deadlines, basically everything!
- procedures - how things will be conducted
- what resources i will need
- what people i will need assistance from
any business people out there have any helpful advice?
