Grand Prix. A go-cart race around the same time as the Indy 500. To be honest the race is of little interest, but the actual week is basically one big party.

Mallard ball! Everyone dresses in camo and we have it off in the woods somewhere.
We never had one...but I always wanted to do an 80's prom...I saw some shirts for one at another school and it sounded like tons of fun!

The ATOs at Rose-Hulman (where my husband was an ATO) do a South of the Border party every year at the end of the school year. They have a band come in and play and do upside down margaritas. Recent alums usually come back the 2-3 years after they graduate to go to it.

Our Delt house used to host "Disco Delt" every winter - up until this year, that is, because they have lost their charter.

Phi Kappa Tau's Mu Chapter, at Lawrence University, has the longest-running fraternity theme party in the nation: LeBrawl, which celebrated its 76th anniversary this past spring.

WE used to to travel down to ohio state for their fat tuesday party called "fat cat", but they lost their charter so we didnt do that last year. Sweet party too
MY chapter is going to start the DEL Tiki (pronounced del ta-chi) this year. Should be pretty cool.

We have the annual "FantaXi Island" date party. There are a few fraternities that have similarly themed parties every year, such as the Phi Gamma Delta "Fiji Island" party and the TKE "Tiki Island" party. I think Delta Sigma Phi's annual party is called "Shipwreck," but I'm not 100% sure it's the same from year to year.
I swear not all annual parties have an "island" theme, but from what I've seen, it's pretty common.

I know that some Phi Kappa Tau chapters host Fort Phi Tau.... One of the Fiji houses (either ISU or Rose-Hulman) hosts Fiji Isle, Pi Kappa Alpha at Rose-Hulman has been hosting a foam party annually for the last two years... those are the only ones I can think of.

Iowa State's FIJIs do FIJI Island every spring.
There used to be a lot more themed parties, but I don't know how many of them are still done at ISU. Kappa Sig's had a Jimmy Buffett beach party type theme, Phi Kappa Theta had a Tiki Tiki party.
The Theta chapter doesn't use the same theme for house party each year, however there is one tradition that we keep: it's always planned by the senior class and the theme is kept a suprise until shortly before the event.

I think almost every Fiji chapter does that.... I've been to one at Texas A&M and University of Texas. Always lots of fun.
Pennycarter- My chapter used to do the same thing, but we called it Lion Hunt.... And everyone brought water guns and had a big water fight... Lots of fun, and it was our most popular crush party every year.
Pi Kappa Phi at A&M does shipwreck every year. It's always really big.

Lets see, my Sigma Pi chapter holds Playboy Pajama Party in the fall, Halloween Havoc during halloween, and in spring we hold Temptation Pi Land. We brought in 20 tons of sand and built a 25 foot waterfall in our courtyard for Temptation Pi Land, it was absolutely insane.
