I will be going to New York City August 10th-19th. This will be my third trip, so I have seen all the real touristy stuff. What are some cool things I can do or see that might not be in the travel books?
Also I am going to England (about an hour north east of London) in September. I have never been before, so if anyone knows of some cool stuff to see or do please let me know.
Caffe Torino (139 W 10th St., West Village) Italian cuisine, good wine selection. Most patrons dressed as if coming from a show or headed to the clubs after dinner. Classy place to go to when on a night on the town. Eighteenth and Eighth (159 8th Ave, Chelsea): American cuisine with a casual atmosphere (gym bunnies come in after working out, couples on dates, families eating out) Lucky Cheng's (24 1st Ave, East Village): Chinese and Thai cuisine. Most patrons dressed as if coming from a show or headed to the clubs after dinner. Lots of bachelorette parties go here- I think the Friday I ate there with a friend there were 4 or 5 in the place.
