The Purpose Driven Life
I heard so much about this book that I picked it up today. Anyone else read it?

Bought it
I bought it and the Journal. Unfortunately I have not gotten past chapter 2. I like what I read, but I just was not focused enough to keep rerading. Now that the overtime is over, and things are less hectic, I will start over.

Me too!! I feel so bad. I bought it in March and I'm only on Day 15. I did not sign the commitment book in the front because I knew that it would be difficult for me to do. I tried to get some friends to read with me, but they are a bunch of bustas!! If anyone wants to have a day-to-day read and exchange, let me know.

I'm down. I'm so tempted to go and read the whole book.

I've read the book and it is VERY enlightening if youare interested is really seeking the face of God and your purpose for this world.
it is defintelt a book that you have to reread at least twice.
If you are starting a reading, I will join in with everyone.

No, but I should have. I plan to purchase it for the re-read though.

I was just looking it up on Amazon and I don't understand the purpose of it.

I heard about this book too, but I knew that I had been too busy to sit and read a post card, much less a whole book.

The Purpose Driven life isn't a book that you read all at once. Each chapter is simply a daily devotional, sometimes only a page long or othertimes four to five pages. The actual reading will only take you about 10 minutes, but the journaling (if you decide to do so) will probably be what takes up the majority of your time.
At the end of each devotional there are questions to ponder, regarding the reading and how it applies to your life. For this, you don't HAVE to have to use PDL journal (and journal or tablet will do), but the journal also contains "questions" that further delve into the reading for the day.

I purchased the book a few months ago and the journal as well. I don't use the journal, but I read the book on the train. I haven't been consistent with my reading, but I try my best. My pastor is the person that toldd us to go out and purchasse the book. I bought it in Costco.

My fiance and I read it together; his church was sponsoring it and he was in a small group. I read it on my own, and was a little frustrated that I couldn't discuss it with someone. I'd be happy to reread it and discuss it online with y'all!

I have it at home and have only read to chapter 5. If anyone wants to start a reading group here on it, I'm game to participate too. I have not done any of the journaling, although I have done at least 5 minutes of thinking on a few of the questions to ponder.

Sounds like we need to get a group together. How should we work this out? Create a listserv?
