Tree sap on my car

I was wondering if anyone could help me with suggestions on removing the tree sap off my new car. It's been there about a week since I have been working I have had no time to remove it. What to do? I have heard olive oil, wd-40, and some products you can get from auto shops. What works the best and won't runi the paint or force me to re-wax the car (waxing cars falls into my own personal hell) Thanks for your help!!

I use bug and tar remover from the autoparts store. We always have sap on our cars and it works wonderful.

I had a car that I tried them all on and nothing worked. Hopefully for you the products have gotten better. I would suggest not waiting too long. Once sap hardens it's next to impossible to remove without taking the paint with it...

It does work, if you get to it before the sap is on your car too long. Spray a little WD40 on a soft cloth and buff the sap out. It worked for me when I lived in a place that actually had trees!
