Question 80's TV Show

I just remembered watching this show when I was little but I can't think of name of it.

It was about a girl who's father was an alien and her mother was human. She was able to stop time and do all these other cool things. She spoke to her father through this pyramid/rubik cube thing.

I think it was on sometime during the mid 80's.

Does anyone remember that show and know the name of it?

OMG, yes! That's the show! Thank you! (ZTA sister there to help out )

I hadn't thought of that show in years and for some reason I remembered it last night. It was bothering me that I couldn't think of the title.

I remember Evie just had to touch the tips of her index fingers to freeze everything and everyone.

Am I a loser because I remembered Maureen Flanagan when she guest starred on 7th Heaven? Or the fact that Mom is "Mom" on Even Stevens?

they need to start showing reruns of all of those old shows (out of this world, small wonder, alf, punky brewster, and all of them), and old school disney shows, and ols school nickolodeon shows. i swear, if they had a channel that aired those shows, i'd watch tv all day.

and i remember that evies bf was so hot! that's prolly why i want to see that show again. hehe

Was the reason they changed it because Valerie, in the show, died or something?

From what I remember, she got into a contract dispute with the producers of the show, and consequently she left...prompting the name change.

I can't remember how they killed her off in the show...wasn't it a car accident or something?

I think it was a car accident that killed Valerie.

Aren't they showing these shows on TV Land? I know at least some of them should be on there. Full House, Growing Pains, and Family Ties are all on Nick at Nite, too.

Quantum Leap is my favorite show. Still watching it on Sci-Fi. Tonight is the one where Sam become a fraternity member in the 50s.

They sort of do. The N (I think the real name is "the Noggin") shows a decent amount of old Nickelodeon shows. It's geared toward younger teens, but it's pretty good.

I <3 Noggin. It's available through digital cable. They had a "Daria" marathon on a few weeks ago...I don't think I moved from my couch for hours. On Friday nights, they air "My So-Called Life". I admit that I stayed home once or twice on my Friday night to catch up on some Jordan Catalano.
