A few months after members of Kappa Alpha Theta caught a Peeping Tom filming through their chapter windows, another incident is causing the women of Delta Gamma to close their blinds.
On Monday, March 29, Delta Gamma senior Mary Kertz spotted a man standing outside the chapter house on Providence Road.
Kertz had just stepped out of the shower and was standing in her room. She didn't have her contacts in, so at first she wasn't sure what was going on outside. After a closer look, she recognized the figure.
"I looked out my window, and I could see this guy standing on our driveway with a tripod and video camera," Kertz said. "I could tell it was on. I knew he had to be up to something suspicious, because he couldn't be filming something legitimate in the middle of the night."
Kertz said she couldn't make out a good description of the man, because it was dark in front of the house. She describes him as around 6’0”' to 6'2" tall, wearing dark clothes.
Kertz believes the man saw her staring out her window, because he immediately packed up the tripod and hurried off across Burnam in between Sigma Pi and Alpha Gamma Sigma.
Kertz rounded up about five other girls. They all ran outside and tried to follow the Peeping Tom.
Mary returned the the house and called 9-1-1. She said right away several police cars began patrolling around the chapter house.
Kertz hopes this incident alerts more Greek women to keep their blinds shut and night and be aware of their surroundings.
"It makes me nervous," Kertz said, "that people could be staring up at us in the middle of the night, looking up at girls' windows all over campus."

As a guy, I havn't and probably never will have to deal with something like this.. And if I did, i'd probably enjoy it... BUT thats not the issue..
I was just reading through this and was wondering if any of ya'll have had to deal with similar situations and what your opinions are...
How safe are you in your own house? The possibility of old men with cameras selling your videos on e-bay has never been so real...
