Question Boston area Alumni?

Hi all~

I've been debating whether to pursue AI for a while, and I'm now at the point that I'd like to meet some of the alumni from different organizations to discuss options, meet people, and get a feel for what alumni membership (and AI specifically) would entail.

I looked at the Alpha Phi national website, and many of the ideals ring true to me, but I know that talking with active members-- particularly alumni my age (29)-- would be a much better opportunity to really get a feel for the organization.

I enjoyed my experiences in Tau Beta Sigma as an undergrad, and do help them out as much as possible as an alumna... but the opportunities for alumnae participation aren't really there for such a small, special-interest group. (Plus now that my TBS chapter is co-ed, I'd really like to find a community of women-only to commit to).

Is there anyone in the Boston/Eastern Massachusetts area who wouldn't mind chatting via email or a cup of coffee?

Take care,
Melissa

A few of us Alpha Phi's are AI and I think at 29 is a good age to really pursue it. I pursued it at 32 and had no problems. There is something called the Syracuse triad where the three GLO are very prominent in AI...( they are A Phi, Gamma Phi beta, alpha gamma delta) but since you came into Alpha phi forum i will totally tell you anything you want to know About A Phi ( or what i know and what i can tell you) .

We have a few Boston Alums that are Alpha Phi in here so they are best to speak too since i am in calif.

Hi all~

Thanks for all of the offers for some perspective on it. I'm at work at the moment, but will be PM'ing all of you at some point later today... I figure the more perspectives I get on it, the better!
