Phi Sigma Sigma HIRES NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Elkridge, Maryland – Phi Sigma Sigma International President Sandy Grossman announces the selection of Michelle Snyder as Executive Director of Phi Sigma Sigma Fraternity. Snyder will assume her post effective immediately and relocate to the Baltimore area.
“Michelle brings to this position her passion for Phi Sigma Sigma along with her breadth and depth of fraternal experience as a member of both the Phi Sigma Sigma Fraternity and the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation staff. As acting Executive Director since mid-October, she has proven her commitment to our vision and our values,” Grossman said. “Supreme Council is certain of her ability to provide leadership to the staff and achieve excellence in our headquarters operations. Phi Sigma Sigma will benefit from her experience, dedication and expertise.”
Snyder is a graduate of the Central Michigan University, where she was initiated by Phi Sigma Sigma’s Delta Iota chapter in 1989. Upon graduation from college, she traveled for Phi Sigma Sigma as a Field Representative. After completing her term on the road, Michelle relocated to Boca Raton, Florida and joined the office staff as Chapter Services Coordinator in 1992. Since then, Snyder has held various positions of increasing responsibility. In 1994, she became the staff’s first programming/foundation development coordinator, and in 1998 she became the first full time employee of the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation in her role as Foundation development coordinator. The Foundation promoted Michelle to Foundation Executive Director in 2004.
“Phi Sigma Sigma has been an integral part of my life since my days at CMU. I’m continually amazed at how Phi Sigma Sigma’s ideals, values and sisterhood play a role in the personal growth and leadership development of a young woman which continues throughout her life. Over the years, I have devoted myself in act and deed to ensure that our organization continues to grow and flourish. I am honored to be selected as Phi Sigma Sigma’s new Executive Director.” Snyder said.
Phi Sigma Sigma is an international women's fraternity founded in 1913 at Hunter College in New York City. Currently, Phi Sigma Sigma has over 55,000 initiated members worldwide, with 107 collegiate chapters and colonies and 35 alumnae groups across North America. Does anyone know anything about her?
And, a side note, I've met Dottie Shields, she would have been great at Extension!
