Ok we all have a concern about the anitgreek publications that have been coming out lately, the claim to tell "the truth" about greek life.

Well I have an idea, why don't we collaborate on a book about greek life. All interested partys could submit short true storys about their life in a fraternity or sorority they can be positive or negative. For instance maybe one submission is about how a girls sisters saved her from flunking out her second semester. And another could be about how a sister flunked out because of the sorority. The goal here is not a piece of propaganda but a truly realistic portayal of greek life good and bad. Then at least PNM's that read it can decide for themselves and not be swayed by an antigreek bias.

Then maybe proceeds from the sales could go towards educating members about hazing or something like that. I dunno..

It is a good idea. There was... a similar thing suggested back in the day on here by a someone (she dropped the idea after getting so much flak from people for suggesting it).

Anyway, there is a book which I have called Inspiration for Greeks ($1.00 of every book sold donated to The Association of Fraternity Advisors). Short true stories from fraternity or sorority members. The copy I got mentioned (I think so anyway) something about a future 'Inspiration for Greeks II'; they may still be accepting submissions for it I don't know.

Unfortunately, while it is a heck of an Idea, it will not be drama filled enough to sell! Bad sells good, good doesnt!

I bought a book on ebay with Memories of the House Mother of LXA at UNSU, I am passing it along to all of the LS's on GC just to have a read and sign their name along with their Chapter and #.

Also bought "Goat" about a KS pledge. Very dissapointed in how it was written and what it said about Greek Life as a "Pledge".

Wouldnt it be great that this could happen! I have many stories from 60's but who would read it?

There is also a book written about Gays Greeks who came out of the closet sent to me by a Brother that I have not read. Never heard of it until he sent it to me. I guess I need to read it to just get an Idea.

Put it together, and I will get people to send snip its or stories!
