Lord of the Rings

So, I have no shame in saying that I'm a huge fan of these films... I'm a film minor, and there's just so much to them... so I thought I'd start a thread for all of you to share in my little obsession...

I'm looking forward to getting the last DVD (the theatrical release comes out in May)... can't believe it's all over.

I'm not obsessed. I can quit anytime I want to. Really, I can. I just don't want to.

I never read the books cuz all the "nerds" in junior high did. Then once the movies started coming out and my friends and family were saying how good they all were, it intrigued me. So I have seen them all. Now I want to read the books. :-)

And Orlando Bloom is hot.

Yep many threads about LOTR..........I actually saw Return of the King again on my spring break and found it to be even better the second time. I'm waiting till the extended version comes out in November though before I buy it. I dont want to end up with two versions, especially when I know the extended version is going to be better and kick so much ass

OH well...the more the merrier...I LOVE LOVE LOVE these films. Have a need actually to see ROTK again soon I think...like befor the DVD comes out in May (which of course I will buy...as I did last year...I need both cause I am excessive in most ways of life currently)

I am also thinking of rereading the books again....its nice, cause I spend too much money on books as it is..so reading those allows me to actually read one book that i already own and it takes so darn long!

No way, there's no way that liking LotR makes you a geek. I know that there's other threads about the movie, but this one's more about the DVD... Hope the mods don't close it.

Anyway, I'm wondering what New Line has in store for the Extended, I mean it is the last one and w/ the theatrical coming out a lot sooner than we're used to, I'm hoping they'll have some thing really amazing up their sleeve. Anything on the rumor mill??

Oh yeah, and for those of you who haven't bought the theatrical editions of any of the films, i know that they're going to release a box sex of the theatricals... no new stuff (for those of us that already have them), but it could be a good gift

I will get the ROTK Theatrical when it comes out, and I will also get the Extended when it comes out... I love the extendeds b/c they are the most like the books...

Cash, in no way does that make you a dork... I like LOTR, and I am the coolest person alive... (just kidding)

But people who do not like it just haven't read or seen it yet, if they were exposed, they would love it.
