Illinois Zeta Fire
I just received this in the e-mail:
-------------------------------------------------
I've just received news from Fraternity headquarters in Indianapolis that the apartment which housed several members of the Illinois Zeta Chapter at DePaul University was lost in a fire Feb. 26.
"While all members of the Chapter escaped without injury, losses to personal property were extensive," according to the memo from Chad M. Stegemiller, Director of Chapter Services. "Among the items lost were the Chapter's Ritual materials."
"We are asking Phi Kappa Psi Chapters to help out our Brothers in their time of need...We are hoping chapters can help purchase items for Illinois Zeta as a gift....(I)t would cost over $1,600 for the chapter to replace all of the items" itself.
"Any help with this cause would be appreciated. If you have any questions, would like to make a donation, or if you would like to puchase an item for the chapter, please call 1-800-486-1852. Thanks for your help."
Included with his message was a Ritual Regalia Prices list, listing such items as a gavel, Phi Psi flag, ballot box, altar lamps, baldrics, Chapter bible, Minute book, Centennial History, and other items ranging in cost for $5 to $100.
By calling the number shown above, you can find out what's still left unpurchased and pick your gift. Ask for extension 23 when calling. (Although the memo was intended for Chapters, individual Phi Psis also can and are encouraged to participate, as well.)
Fraternally,
Mike McCoy...
