First- Honeychile- that was my first page

thank you.
Ok now on to business..
What worked with my chapter was this, we started small, we did an ice cream social and basically did a 1:1 ratio, that way it wasn't overwhelming to the PNM nor the Delta sister. We actually did this in Fall of 01 and we had a chapter of roughly 15 actives on the books by the end of that semster we had a chapter of about 30!!!! We worked hard but it has paid off, and now I am proud to say that my chapter is at ceiling. COR really seemed to be my chapters strong suite. The only advice I can give is this
1- be your self, this is not the time to be formal, some PNM are really turned off by formal rush, and this is the time to get those great women who just happen to be a bit put off by the formal hoopla. Some of my chapters best sisters came from COR.
2- NETWORK YOUR NEW MEMBERS esp the freshmen and sophomores. These NM have a whole other pool of people that you can possibly get to join. Freshmen esp because they are so unestablished in their friendships. I know personally I tried to meet ANY AND EVERYONE my first year on campus just so I would always be able to see a friendly face on campus.
3- Keep It Simple this sort or relates to number 1. COR is not the time to bust out the room full of flowers or candle ceramony. Some of the best sisters we have gotten where through a very chill dinner meeting with 2-3 sisters who the PNM may have a common link to.
and finally
ALWAYS REMEBER THAT COR IS A 24/7 THING no matter where you and your sisters go and what you doing are showing what ADPi about and what it can offer women. And that will spark more interest than you will ever immage.
I personally don't think it matters on party themes but some of the ones we've done is
night at the point where we take NM to Mt Washington which is esp. neat for out of towners
