Community Service

If anyone is looking for a way to participate in community service that aids the betterment of the Af Am community, and you are located in the NYMetro area, I may have just the thing! My mother runs a company entitled NSM Three Sisters Foundation, named after my sisters and myself, and the company is looking for volunteers this summer. Originally, the company was only a shelter for women and children, however, over the last 2 years it has expanded it's services. A Kids Cafe will be opening this summer to feed children twice a day, and give them a place to go before and after summer camp. If all goes well, it will also be in effect during the school year. Unfortunately, I am do not reside in NY.
However, I am looking for community service projects in the Baltimore area. If your organization could use an extra hand for some community service work and you are located in the Baltimore area maybe I can be of some assistance. I am also looking for some community service work I can include my 8 yr old daughter in. Hopefully some members in the Baltimore area can give me some guidance. I am still learning my way around B'more.
