question to the Greeks?
Ive read a lot about Greeks getting irritated when non-Greeks say something ignorant or just way out of line. Being a non-Greek myself, I was wondering what are some things that non-Greeks say, do or ask that really irritates and bug you? And what are some things that we should avoid doing or saying that may make us look or sound ignorant?
Let me hear what you guys have to say.

Now why is it that I just went to your BP page and you state that you are a DELTA. Yet last night you came on here posting that you are interested in becoming a Delta. You stated that you are a NON GREEK yet, "Desira Davis" claims to be initiated via Kappa Omicron chapter.
To answer your question, THIS is the CHIT that peeves me.
Thanks to my detective. It is much appreciated.

2.What are some things that you SHOULDNT do that will make u look bad or jeopardize membership?
Im hoping this questions aren't asking TOO much. Again im not sure what the proper procedure is for getting information. The only information I got was from reading "In Search of Sisterhood" by Paula Giddings. There is no one in my family that is apart of a GLO and I am not good friends with any Deltas (as of now, because Im new to school).
Thank You I really Appreciate Your Time and Cooperation

Re: Re: question to the Greeks?
I am at a loss for words. Really. Ten years ago, maybe a personcould have possibly gotten away with this...no, I'll say 11-12 years ago. Then again, we wouldn't be "chatting" 12 years ago either. My point is, with technology the way it is, this is pure STUPIDITY!!! Did she think she could get away with this?

Funny thing
She PMd me with this same question and I basically told her soliciting information from people on message boards. You don't know who is on here and the Greek world is very small.
Maybe she is a plant sent to test what we say on here. Hmmmmmm

Right before she was exposed to me, she added me to her Yahoo buddy list.

however, it says you just joined. u only have 3 posts. shouldnt you (or ur sister) have been a member since 2001?
and why couldnt you get a new handle?
and why are u asking about such things when ur sister is greek? not that she should be telling you really, but...i'd think you would be hip to a lil somethin.
im feelin cheated...no more PM's yoo!
am i taking too much offense? ive built up a respect for these things as a non greek.

ashame
Well im new to this whole thing, so first ill say HI! And ive read through this forum regarding this young lady named Desirai. It seems to me that she may be a Delta so to speak and maybe on here as a spy or trying to figure out who will say what. But apparantly she didnt cover her tracks to well which is confusing because she chose to put her web page up, she could have easily gotten away with her "spy" job if she used some common sense. This is ashame because u really cant trust people. ya know?
