Whos been written up for alcohol violations?
Sophmore year I was written up for "being in the presence of alcohol" in the residence halls. This basically means I wasnt drinking but other people were. All of our residence halls are dry. It sucked at the time, but I am over it. I moved to the apartments where you can drink as much as you want so no worries.
Whats your story?

That is nothing.... i was living in the dorms at age 24 and i came home from a party and went straight to my room and next morning i got written up by the RA and sent to school counseling at the student health center....he found out i was 24 and way over the age of drinking and i didnt cause any nuisance or trouble and he laughed and ripped up the report and told me to go .... the RA got written up for not getting the facts straight that i was of age and i didnt cause any trouble......vindication.

Freshman year, when I would go to visit friends at other campuses (KU and K-state), I had a bad habit of going into RA's rooms.
At K-state, I went over to the dorms already way drunk, and ran into this really cute girl in the hall. Not used to RA's and the whole dorm thing, I proceeded to hit on this girl, even acknowledging that I was really drunk...luckily my friends there who were very sober dragged me away as they explained I was from Nebraska, and got drunk some where else. Me shouting GO BIG RED and telling anyone wearing purple to "go F--- themselves" helped cement my story and prevent any incidents.
At KU, it was far worse, as we got drunk in my friends dorm room and then I wandered to the RA's room, and mentioned that I had had a couple (more like 15) and was having a great time in Oliver Hall. Also the fact that I kept running into the girls bathroom to pee...
Luckily, no problems either time came out of my obnoxious behavior.

My undergrad didn't have an alcohol policy.
When I was an RA, I didn't have to bust anyone. If I was seriously concerned that someone had a medical problem, I could call EMS without any disciplinary repercussions on their part. Police only got in the way if there was property damage or if they were committing another crime (ie, assault).
Good years they were.

I got written up for being on the boys' floor outside of visitation hours. I don't think my RA turned it in though, since I cried and cried and never heard anything more about it.
Not as bad as two sisters who got written up for that after they had moved off campus!!! Tres embarrassing.

My suitemates were major potheads and they were smoking in their room one day. They opened up their window so that the smoke detector wouldn't go off. Our dorm rooms were on the first floor and the window faced a very busy sidewalk that was one of the main passages for students to walk from the parking lot to the main campus. Basically, anyone within a 15 foot distance from their window could smell it.
So stupid. Smoking weed on University property....very ballsy move.
The RA smelled it and came busting into our dorm room. Luckily, she did not call the cops (very cool RA) but she fined them $500. She then confiscated any alcohol we had in our dorm. It sucked because I had gotten a big bottle of Bacardi Limon at a buddy social. She told me that if she found alcohol in our dorm room ever again that she would throw us out.
Didn't stop us though.....

Last year, a guy in my dorm was smoking herbal cigarettes in his room (it was a smoking dorm). The RA smelled it from outside his room and called the cops on him for smoking weed! He then felt reeeeeeally dumb when the cops busted in and the guy wasn't breaking any rules! Herbal cigarettes don't even smell like weed...*sigh* silly RA.
Then there was the RA in the next building over who was reputed to be a dealer...

A week before my 21st birthday I had been socializing with other people in my dorm. We had gone to a bar/restaurant but I was the DD, and everyone else was of legal age. We came in and the RA wrote me up for drinking because "my eyes were bloodshot" , hey stupid RA it is -40 outside and I am wearing contacts, they get dry. I met with the substance abuse counselor at the campus PUB, on my 21st birthday. He laughed at this girl and bought me lunch and a beer.
My favorite though was when my suitemate was the RA and had to do rounds. She would sometimes bust underagers and say they won't be written up this time, but she'd take the alcohol and "get rid of the evidence". We saved A LOT of money that way but those underagers always had swill in a can like "the beast", strohs, PBR, and Miller high life, and keystone. They always had the cheap hard liquor as well. It was kind of unethical, but it was funny as hell. Not as funny as the guy who ATE his pot plants thinking that if the evidence wasn't there, he wouldn't be cited.

Been "detained" by your friendly MPs down in Florida for attempting an obsticle course completely loaded with a couple of buddies.....
Good-times..... small unit infantry tactics competition at the Ranger's training centre. We bet the Marines that if they one drinks were on us, if we one drinks were on them...... in the end we won, but it really didn't matter after a while, everyone was buying everyone drinks.
PS> Oh yeah the competition ended on St. Patrick's Day
