anyone remember this thread?

i am a grown up

well, anyway, a couple of weeks ago, some idiot at school backed into me with his pick up. so no i need to get a brand new hood, my fender fixed,and some paint touched up. i am taking it in today. i have to get a rental car too. i hope it is a nice. my poor baby looks so sad all banged up. the driver of the truck is some scrawny kid

i wanted to slap him

what a bastard!! I know exactly what you are going through. Same thing happened to me. I've had my rental car for 10 days already....my car should be ready by the 17th....so just a few more days. I feel your pain!

Week ago on Saturday night some drunk people were ahead of us in the Jack in the Box drive through at 2:30 am. The car load of girls was exiting their vehicle, dirty dancing with a pole, and one sat on my hood. Then they mooned us.

This chicks big ol booty DENTED my hood and split the paint. My parents are getting it fixed for me while I am in Washington DC for a conference so I won't be out a vehicle.

My insurance agent went through the security tapes to get the plate number to track the passenger down. She does NOT play. My friend also hit a black cow on a dark country road at night. Someone else had hit it and left the scene, she came up on it at 55 mph, and it launched her car four feet in the air. College towns surrounded by farmlands are dangerous places.

Two and a half years ago, a day after I had bought my brand new car, I was rear-ended by some idiotic man (about 50-ish). I was 19, by myself, and didn't know what to do. The man gave me his business card and told me he would pay for the damages. I came home crying because my car was royally f*ed up but I hadn't noticed it at the scene, where he talked me into not calling the cops. He didn't give me his insurance information or anything other than his business card. My parents were out of state, so my almost-like-a-mother-to-me neighbor went to the man's house, he happened to live only three streets down from us. She came back and told me he sounded like a genuine man and knew that he would pay. When my parents got back from out of state, they took my car for an estimate, which was soemthing like $2500. My mom got mom-like and busted the man's chops and got him to fax her a signed confession letter and his insurance information. His insurance eventually paid for it, but were trying to dispute the fact that I didn't call the police. My mom told them that was B.S. and that the man had taken advantage of me because he knew I was young and didn't know what to do. Turned out that man's insurance was ready to drop him -- he'd had several accidents that year.

My car was fixed perfectly. But back in June of this year, a different idiotic man rear ended me in a parking lot and took off.

My car has been rear-ended twice, I've hit two vehicles with the front of my car, and my damn cousin decided jumping on while I was driving away would be fun. My poor baby has been super abused!

One of my boys put 22 inch spree wells on his cherokee ( The rims that spin while you're stopped at a light ). We went to go see a friend who lives in a semi-ghetto apt complex, by the time we came out of his apt there were about 6 kids playing with the rims...spinning them. We had to yell at them to leave. By the time we got home he realized one of his rims wasn't spinning. We think those little kids in the hood broke the rim.

-Imagine driving down the road and stopping at a light with 3 wheels turning and not 4. It looks really ghetto.

I didn't notice the dent until the next day. The thing is she was NOT a big girl, we're talking a size 2 or 4. Completely without a booty. Maybe her bony ass dented it? My insurance company is going to find her, but they can't decide if her ass is a falling object or not.

Oh, no doubt they're ghetto to begin with. It just looks REALLY ghetto when he had 3 rims turning and not one. Personally, I would never get rims like that. You wont catch me with the same rims any rap star has. Now, thats not to say i don't mind riding in a vehicle that has them every now and then. Its kind of funny when you're at a red light and a car full of ghetto people pull up next to you and ask you if you sling rock or not. Thats when you laugh and throw up the west side signal.....lol.

I hit a patch of ice going about 15 mph and hit a cement viaduct in March 2002. The car had $6800 worth of damage and the blue book value was $7200 so they fixed it. Two weeks after I got it back, I came out of a store to find the back end had been rammed, huge dent in the trunk. No note, no witnesses, no tapes, nothing! I'd already gotten a notice about the insurance going up due to the first accident so I wasn't about to put in a claim on this one! Paid $750 out of pocket to get it fixed after about 6 months of looking at it and fuming every day!
