My grandmother passed away
Hey ladies, my grandmother had a stroke in her sleep on Sunday night and has been in intensive care ever since on life support. Her heart was beating, but she was not breathing well on her own. The decision was made today by her oldest, and only suviving daughter, to take her off life support today around 3 PM. She passed away around 8:20. I imagine there was an amazing reunion between her husband, her, and my mom today. My grandmother was in general good health, and it all came as quite a shock. Here is a short exert from the last e-mail I got from her, only a few days ago...she had just returned from a Trip to California to spend Thanksgiving with my Aunt.
"Is life good, or what? Tis Christmas around the corner and.....it is snowing, maybe, to 3-4 inches...I trimmed trees before I left...best thing I ever did...The house is warm and cozy, snow coming down, it is neat!...and a CD of carols, too."
Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know. Say a little prayer.
Andrea and Noreen, I'll be coming up to Akron this Friday and will be staying through Sunday. I'm not sure if I'll have time to see you guys or not, but I'd love to grab ice cream or something if time allows. It's terrible that such sad times seem to bring me up your way.
Anyway, love to all of my sisters and Greek friends who are always here for me!

Then there are friends who sail together, through quiet waters and stormy weather. Helping each other through joy and through strife. And those are the kind who give meaning to life.
