Girls, Your idea of the perfect GirlFriend?
I have been really . . . uhm . . . disturbed to see how off base a lot of girls on here have been about what motivated guys, what we are thinking, or what we want from you.
So I pose these questions:
What is your idea of how the perfect girlfriend should behave?
What do you think a boy wants from you (other than constant sex) to make him happy?
Try and be specific. The guys will chime in later to critique

My date Friday night put it quite nicely with "steak and blow jobs."

How girlfriends should act: Like nice respectable young ladies. Treat boyfriends like you want to be treated. Period.
What do guys want from their girlfriends? James, if I knew that, I'd write a book on it and become a multi-million best-selling author. I think guys want anything ranging from...well, you know, to stuff like companionship. It's different for every guy.
Isn't it?

Me!!
After dealing with:
*being vomited on by him on his 21st birthday
*taking out electronics out of newly wrecked car in the RAIN and hauling them back through a field to his house
*making letter shirts for each new pledge class of his fraternity!
*being okay with him using other female models
*buying him tools
*buying him food
*staying the same weight for over 2 years!
*making cinnamon biscuits for him and his bro's on a regular basis
*letting him and his bro's use my old-school video games systems on their lock-in's---and supplying them w/food
*helping him fix his car..and getting greasy at the same time *grr*
*being his D.D
*still dressing up and looking good
Oh the other things I could post....

Oh, I forgot to add something. If we have to think about this sort of thing too much, we probably shouldn't be dating that particular guy...who wants to have to try and live up to an ideal all the time? Guys don't, so we don't either. There, James.

How girlfriends should act? I guess the usual stuff like:
-loyalty
-giving him space
-willing to put up with some of his faults
-The Golden Rule is always a good thing to follow "treat him as you would like to be treated"
-cooking and baking for him time to time
-helping him out with his errands
What a guy wants from me besides me putting out? Gosh that's a toughie. It's hard to gauge what they want sometimes. Guys can be fickle too just as well as girls. Usually it's not enough for a girl to be fun, cute, funny, cooks, bakes, pampers the guy, etc. I've had a guy who just wanted to use me as some sort of dress up doll. I got criticized by him for not being girlie enough. That would include wearing skirts and dresses, makeup, and jewelry. And when one day I did dress up as he wanted me to, he looked me up and down and gave a mere grunt of approval. The least he could have done was tell me I looked nice or something. I wasn't some kind of doll to be shown off. If a guy doesn't like me for my mind and personality too then screw that.
I have to agree with what AchtungBaby80 said though. Hee hee. I've always had bad relationships. I give my everything but no matter what I do it's not enough and they just break up with me. I don't think I'm a bad person.

I definatley know the answer to this one.
guys want exactly what women want - people who are themselves.
trying to live up to some ideal is just stressfull and fake.
people say that men + women are so different, but I'm starting to think we are more alike than most think. Girls who have had long term relationships with guys will know what I'm talking about.

My son just had a NASTY breakup a month ago...
I'll tell you the same thing I told him.
When someone says they love you, they should bring out the best in you. She knows your goals, she should support them, not try to test you or make you choose. She should be the one who
makes you happy and proud of your endeavors. It is important to find someone who sees in you all you can be JUST AS you see in her all she can be. True love allows that to grow. If you spend your time fighting over studies or interests, you are circumventing growth and eventually, success in life. Love brings out the BEST you can be, NOT causes you to become stagnant. Love is reciprocal. You must feel her needs are as important as yours and then support her as you know she should support you. ****Forty years from now, as you look across the breakfast table, you must see your best friend, because sex can't keep it together.
True love is not freely given in the form of a one night stand (or two). True love grows with time.
Yes, I DO talk this way.
****This is what my husband said to me before we married.

what I want in a girlfriend
supportive of the things that are important to me
should share a sense of adventure
she should be an artist, or at least, very artistic.
she should dress up to look hot for me. I know its hectic but seriously its amazing when a girl takes the time to look her best because she is going to see you. =
I want a girlfriend who wants me to think she's pretty. I like pretty girls. Girl should want me to think she is pretty.
take care of me when I need it
realize that every time I touch you it doesn't mean you're only a sex object, sometimes its cool to just hang out but while you're hanging out you touch each other.
Public Displays of Affection=should be done in good taste
ALSO, IF YOU ARE ALL OVER IN PUBLIC DON'T BE SURPRISED WHEN WE GET HOME AND I "TRY TO GET INTO YOUR PANTS" AS YOU SO ELOQUENTLY PUT IT, YOU STUPID BITCH!!!!!!!!
Oh yeah, the important one, she should realize that I am gentleman of certain ideals. Also, that ideals are hard to live by sometimes. She should be supportive that I at least try to be a better person.
She should cuddle with me, like be the first one to snuggle up sometimes. Like when I'm having a bad day, a hug would make it better, she should be the one to hug me.

I don't know the answer- but the best girlfriend I have been was with my ex, no name.
I used to go out with him and his friends every Friday night- and we would just hang out. I would let him do whatever, talk, chat, play pool, and I would make myself busy keeping their girls entertained, or talking with his friends and letting them get to know me.
I would pick him up if he went out drinking with his friends and bring him home.
I would buy him small gifts if I saw something that reminded me of him, just because... (he did the same for me).
I bought him advanced tickets to see the LOTR The Two Towers and picked up him and took him,
I would stop and pick him up some dinner on my way over to his place from work.
I would help him fold his laundry and put it away.
I went with him to his friends' weddings. parties, etc, and always made sure to take the time and do my makeup, wear nice clothes and try to look my best.
I would wait until I knew we were going home in the car and start fooling around with him while we were driving so he had to have me when we got home- and I let him.
I would send him emails with dirty thoughts I was having about him while he was at work.
I would remind him about his obligations sometimes (like get your mom a card, or buy your dad a present- he wants this...).
I thought I was a pretty good girlfriend, but it was bad timing. We still keep in touch and we still like each other. Maybe the timing will be right later.
