Our exec election should have been last night.
But enough sisters didnt show up, so we didnt have quarum. :rages:
So now we will be having a 3+ hour meeting on thursday night to do both exec and comittee elections. (And I have a test at 8am on friday)
: pouts :
Im done ranting ... congrats to all the girls who have been elected!!

Congratulations to Beta Tau's new Ritual Chair, UFSigKap! Hooray!
Cara ~ I don't miss those 3+ hour elections....I hope it goes quickly and efficently on Thurs.
If anyone else was elected into a new position please share it, we'd love to hear.

I ran for every exec position and many cabinet positions-- but only got the position I didn't even want, that I declined nomination for. I declined that position.
We didn't have quorum and our senior slate passed.

I was on senior slate...it was great....I am not taking an office this next year due that I will be graduating in May!!!
But I thought that everyone had to be at meeting for elections? I know in our CofC that we have to be at elections no homework passes are granted for that meeting (you can see that I am the EVP). How is a situation like that handled in your chapter?

My guess is that a lot of girls wound up getting fined. I don't know, it was a bad situation, but at least the senior slate passed.

I'm an alumna. I might actually volunteer to go to the elections if I thought there was a chance that slate could just automatically pass like that.
I think if your chapter puts in the CofC then you can do it that way. Otherwise, no go.

Our attendance policey doesnt make elections different than any other metting, we can use the same types of excuses as any other meeting, but I think tonight after a new rec-sec and prez are elected Im going to mention that maybe that should be changed.
