You guys know that "The DaVinci Code" is a NOVEL right? As in fiction? As in made up for entertainment and not to be taken seriously? Just like the "X-Files"?
My response:
Hi there we do know that it is ficition (at least I hope most of us know it's fiction). However, it is based on facts about various alternative theoris to the Holy Grail. There was a book back in the 1980's called Holy Blood, Holy Grail that was about a lot of this. Also, if you read about the Knights Templar this is often a theory associated with them.
Regarding the Last Supper Picture. Truly look at the picture after reading the book. "John" does look like Mary. Peter does have a hand across his throat in what could be a threatening gesture. And most importantly look at the hand with the knife - it doesn't belong to anyone else there. It is very weird. When trying to go on the web to look at a picture see if you can see the version that has been restored - John/Mary does look a lot more feminine
There was documentation found in the French National Library about the Priory of Scion with all the names listed on it.
I'm not sure if you know much about the Dead Sea Scrolls but until the Huntington Library released the microfilm, of the complete scrolls, that it had the Catholic Church had complete control over the scrolls. There were only ever 12 priest at anyone time who had complete access to the scrolls. If researchers wanted access they had to get permission and most often it was denied. Rumor was that the scrolls contained things in there that could really rock the foundations of the Catholic and Christian Churches as a whole - one thing being that Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene.
Anyway, a lot of what Da Vinci Code was based on has been in the "conspiracy" theory group of stories for years.
