Unhappy Help me guys...I feel so horrible!

Has anyone ever taken Valium or some kind of pain medication injection? I just had minor surgery, and I feel worse now than I did when I was at the doctor's office. They gave me all this stuff to relax and calm me, but I was loopy as all Hell when I came out of there and now I feel like I've had the flu and I can't even move without feeling nauseous...just typing this is a stretch. Help--when will this go away? James, where are you when I need you?

I've taken Lorazipam (sp?) which is in the same family as Valium...it worked but the 2 days afterwards, I was out of it, slurring my words, and felt like I had the flu. The dr. said I was part of the 4% of the population who suffers withdrawal effects from Valium.
SOOOO
I'm definitely not an expert but from what I can tell, your body probably doesn't respond well to prescription painkillers. It should go away in a day or two...get lots of sleep!

Valium has a bit of a muscle relaxing effect, but it's not really a pain killer. It will mellow you out a bit, though, at the right dosage.

yea my mom pulled her calf muscle one time and it was a doozy. She has a very low tolerance for pain and kept tensing up the muscle so it wouldn't heal itself properly. Because of this, the doctor prescribed her valium to relax her. She said she was so floopy from the valium she thought she was drunk. so my mom knows the feeling.

I had major surgery a few months ago and all my doc gave me was percocet for the pain and vioxx for the inflammation and I didn't have any problems with feeling loopy (except when I just wanted to get the hell out of the hospital after the two days) or anything else. And I didn't have any trouble with nausea either.

I've taken Valium more times than I can count. It works, believe me. If you have some....take double the dosage and a few glasses of wine....you'll feel fine, trust me.

Valium isnt a pain killer...but it will make you feel better. If you can, I'd suggest you try to get your hands on some Xanex ( not a pain killer-but it still works), Perkecet, Viks, Lorcet or a morphine pill inorder not to feel anything. Or you could get some Ambiens and sleep it all off. One Ambien and you're out for 8 hrs...2 of them and you're not getting up up for at least 12-15 hrs. If you can't get your hands on any drugs, buy a bottle of Robitussin and drink the whole thing. It'll work just as well, but it does make you trip and you'll probably puke since it'll be your first time. Then you always have weed that'll work just as fine too. It really depends on how bad you feel and what you would do to get rid of it.

About six and a half years ago, I had minor surgery. The surgeon prescribed for me Vicodin or its generic brand Hydrocodone (yes, the infamous pain reliever). I was told to take 1 or 2 pills when I felt pain. One night I took two and I felt very loopy the next morning. Interestingly, I didn't become addicted to it.

AchtungBaby80, I hope you feel better!

Angry

God, I hate Drugs of any kind!!!!!!!!!!

When had Surgery, they gave me Morphine! Hell, took me along time to get it out of the system!

My best Friend and Wife came and took me home.. So dont go upstairs, everythingneeded was in Family room.

Hell no, I went up stairs to get more ice for pop water.

Hell slipped and fell down the stairs. Dah. Didnt tear the stiches out or harm anything.

The Human body does not like funny Stuff put into the system and will fight it!

Just hang fire, be carefull of what you do. If the pain is to bad, try apsrine or adviel for pain!

Get the stuff out of system asap. It can be addictive!!!!!!!!

HATE IT!!!!!!!!!!
