X-mas Cards...
This really a girlie question (No offense girls), but I was wondering about Christmas Cards. I would like to create some of my own, and was wondering if anyone has done this, and has advice. I know you can go to Kinkos (headache), but I was thinking of doing somthing a little more professional. Like w/ a picture or something. WHat is cheap?? I can go to one of the big stores like officemax, etc. From the small amount of research, staples has like 25% off online or something. Has anyone done this? Are smaller shops better? It is getting to be that time, and I would LOVE some advice

may be able to do something like that through the walmart photocenter. In fact you can go to walmart.com and click onthe photcenter area and prices and options may be up, but obviously you'd need to go to a walmart itself to have it done, unless you have digital photos you want to use and then i think you can upload them to the site.
i myself just buy my xmas cards and send them out.

Wow I impressed! hehe I didnt think that many people actually gave that much though into something that most people throw away besides me lol. I have actually done this before but I went to Kinko's and it was a bit costly but sometimes they cut ya a deal or at least they did with me. I did about 2 dozen cards only b/c I didnt feel like doing anymore. Its a really sweet idea but I realized that it didnt really matter to many people lol.

I don't know... I think a lot of people care. It's nice to be thought of during the holidays and it's really nice to know that someone actually put some thought and effort into it
I'm terribly uncreative, so Hallmark it is for me!

The last two years, I got a lot of ecards, which I thought was great! The thought is still there, it doesn't cost anything, and it's the way to go for people whose address you don't have. Plus, since my list was nearing 100, it's looking more reasonable all the time!
I tend to buy a card I like (saw some on sale 2 weeks ago & grabbed them!), and put the time into a letter. Yes, I know that they're gauche, but I'd rather have a letter than a simple "Merry Christmas - the Jones Family". And they're a godsend when you have had a bad year - you only have to "tell" the bad news once.

I'm the same way, honey...I'm starting to work on my cards now (because I DO have over 100 to send out ), and I'm planning to write the Christmas letter to stuff inside of them. It's not only useful when you've had a "bad" year, but also when you've had a good one and haven't told a lot of people what's happened...it saves your hand from writer's cramp trying to write long novels to everyone saying what's all been going on!

Thanks...
Computer ones always end up looking like... well... like I made them on my computer. I went to like 3 different store's websites, and it is very confusing on all of them. I liked the idea of having a place do it for me... so that I wouldn't have to sit there at Kinko's and do it. Wal-Mart is horrible, I will not use them. I think I am going to go with the initial idea of Staples. At least there is a discount there. Anyone used them in the past please let me know how well they turned out... Thanks... I am using a certain picture, so I want to get them printed... rather than buy a pack of them at Halmark...

I haven't used them either, but have been seeing those commercials for the free shipping. It seems like they are the best option.

Yes, those deals rock and roll, I have been really impressed with what they have been doing. I am a fan though, I like staples more than the grocery store... I am weird like that though....

I've made cards in the past on Print Shop. This year I went easy and ordered them online from Hallmark.com. I didn't have it all done, but they will even address and mail them for you!

I usually just purchase Christmas cards and then buy some festive stationary to put the yearly review in them. I found the cutest Anne Geddes cards a few years ago! I would love to create my own, but I just don't have time

Alright! Glad to see some f the more "put-together women" are acting along the same lines as my ragged-self and getting them made by staples. LOL. I always send out crap, and get great ones in return, this year is different!!! It wasn't too bad as far as money goes. I have spent more money on shipping costs from William Sonoma and Patagoinia then anything else I think. That is highway robbery. Hey, what are some good gifts you all are sending this year?
