ASA at Kettering

I like to read up about other GLOs and I was on the ASA National website and I noticed something different. There are two chapters of ASA at Kettering in Michigan. The website reads like this:
Delta Nu-A — Kettering University, Flint, MI
Delta Nu-B — Kettering University, Flint, MI
I went to both sites and it seems they are both in Flint, MI. Anyway, just I was just curious. By the way, one of our member's, her mother is an ASA from Epsilon Alpha — Southern Arkansas University, Magnolia, AR.

Thanks,
Katherine

Kettering has a co-op program. During any quarter half the students are in class while the other half are working. Section A (example) goes to class in spring & fall & works in summer & winter - Section B does the opposite.

Because of this there is no overlap between the two sections. DN-A & DN-B are basically 2 separate chapters. I think ASA is the only sorority that has chapters in both sections.

Hope this helped.

Very interesting! That is really cool how they go to school and very cool how ASA works with that University to make sure they are represented all year long!
Thanks for the information!

I believe there's a fraternity that has it as well...I want to say Beta Theta Pi, but I could be wrong. Maybe Phi Sig Kap or Lambda Chi? Eh, it's on another thread somewhere.

im from kettering actually. dn-a
I think every fraternity exists both sections currently. And to every nationals, a section and b section are seperate chapters. it's so wierd because most of the faternities do not get along from a section to b section, but we actually are starting to get along more as a house between sections. it helps over the past few years we have had off section girls living in. like a section living in during b section.
it is nice that we are on campus both sections though, it lets us keep a house. But A section there are only 2 sororities, and B section there are 3.
Kettering is a primarily engineering & business school, with a little math/chemistry/physics major. Freshman term tends to start anywhere with 8 guys to 1 girl to a 5-1 ratio
