Unhappy Wait 'til next year!

Fish fry Yanks 2-0 in game 6, win the World Series. Here's my reply:

WAIT 'TIL NEXT YEAR - GO YANKEES!!!!!!!

Dynasties never say die. Proven 26 times and still going strong.

Congrats, Marlins... I woulda rooted for youse guys if you weren't playing the Yanks! (Native New Yawker, grew up in South Florida.)

And all I'm going to add is:

THANK YOU MARLINS!

I could really care less who won, but the Yankees lost.

Congrats to the Marlins. If the yankees hadn't been in it, I would have gone for the fish! I guess now I'll start looking to next year, which is what will get me through the long cold winter til Spring Training. Well, that and college basketball!

Eh, why were they crying? Can't their other 26 World Series trophies be of some comfort?

You realize in the last three years, George has lost to two expansion teams and a 40 yr loser?

To you, getting to the World Series would be enough. But I'm expecting George to fire Brian Cashman this Monday.

Oh, I totally see your point. I mean, they had to go extra innings in Game 7 to beat the Red Sox. It just seems kinda frivolous to cry over one series, when they know they'll win or get close to it next year.

I boycotted the World Serious (I really wanted and Cubs-Red Sox series). However, I couldn't help but check the score on Yahoo or ESPN's website. When I found out that the Marlins won, I showed no emotion for neither team.

I really wanted to see that as well. Most of my family is from Chicago and they *really* wanted the Cubbies to go all the way.

LOL - my honey lives in Chicago and absolutely loathes the Cubs!

I have to say that I liked the Yankees because I think they have the cooler uniforms. Obviously, baseball is a major cornerstone to my life.

Congrats to the Marlins - they played a hell of a series, Beckett was lights out in Game 7, unfortunately they deserved to win.

I agree that Cashman could be gone by Monday - he shouldnt' be, but unfortunately that's the way things go in NY.
